We find the same, almost around the globe. Very often, we can find some great "deals," in typical business hotels for the weekend, though perhaps their locations are not perfect - many "business districts" quiet down, after the Friday rush of business folk ends. We often extend our stays after business meetings, and find that the prices can fall dramatically for Friday - Sunday nights.
Now, some places, such as Las Vegas, NV, USA, have just the opposite - weeknight prices can be far lower, than those for the weekend.
