Bamboo is not a tree in the same sense as we normally know it. Of course, there are stems where leaves and branches grow, but bamboo is hollow, and the trunk does not get wider as the tree ages. Bamboo has an extremely sustainable growth, and it is often this that is alluded to when bamboo's long shelf life is mentioned.
Felled and untreated bamboo poles are not particularly durable, but if the bamboo furniture is properly pre-treated, it can have a lifespan of up to 50 years. Regardless, you can't avoid ongoing maintenance, which is the alpha and omega if you want to preserve your bamboo garden furniture season after season.
Maintain your bamboo furniture

The Danish weather is fickle, and it can be difficult to accommodate! It is therefore important that you regularly wipe down your garden furniture, and in addition you should clean your furniture properly at least twice a year with a wrung-out cloth in soapy water. In winter, the optimal scenario is that you store them indoors in a dry place with good ventilation. If you don't have the opportunity to do this, you can simply cover the furniture loosely.
